Terce uses floating rates by default. The rate displayed in the widget is calculated at the moment you enter your amount, using live liquidity data aggregated across multiple providers.
The final amount you receive is locked at the moment your deposit is confirmed on the blockchain — not when you initiate the exchange. In most conditions, this difference is less than 0.5%.
Terce charges a spread of 0.3–1.5% depending on the asset pair and available liquidity. This spread is included in the displayed rate. There are no additional fees. Network (miner) fees for the receiving asset are included in the quoted receive amount.
A fixed-rate option is available for certain pairs. Fixed rates lock the quoted amount at initiation but carry a higher spread (typically 0.5–1.2% above floating) to compensate for the price risk taken on during the confirmation window.
